Painting Progress: Swooping Hawk

So I started working on painting my Swooping hawks I've always wanted to have the wings rainbow kind of like the above pic from coolminiornot.  I ended up just gluing the wings on as all my drill bits couldn't seem to drill into the model very well and magnets weren't strong enough when they were small enough to be hidden.

40k Canal/waterway Part4

So here I've sprayed the foam/Bridges black and I was halfway through drybrushing the terrain with the dark gray paint.

Wraith Guard Bases upgrade

Just a shout out to skulkers-surprise. I had shown these when I had first made them but since Malduran was wanting to correct the base size on his Wraith Guard on his latest painting challenge.

Mordheim Troll

Hey guys sorry I havn't posted in a while just kinda lost the energy and got distracted, but once again i'll try keep things coming for my trusty followers. I've been busy painting stuff so then next couple posts will be a catch up of the last couple of weeks.

I was wanting to put a troll in my Mordheim warband so wanted to get him painted but I didn't have a GW 40mm square base so I left him for a while but the need to paint him became too strong. I decided to make one from scratch using plasticard and ice cream sticks.

Mordheim Warband

So I set about painting my Orc warband for the Clubs Mordheim campaign. I'm gonna try be as Wysiwyg as I can so the models will probably change as the campaign continues. I started out painting the Goblins as they were the least done. 

I wouldn't say that the rest were really well painted but they were table ready at least I'll go back to them as the campaign continues and if they live (haha).

April Painting challenge

So the new month begins.

Last month I got my Dire Avengers painted ready for the tournament.  

I also started a little work on the Wraithlord (below) mostly to check the looks of a new technique I am looking into. Let me know what you think and if I can do anything to improve it. My basic colour is Warboss green and Kantor blue. I'm thinking of adding a stripe of Green across the head maybe in a "V".

Canal terrain Progress: bridges 2

So I did some more work on the bridges this weekend. Adding some finishing touches to the edges of the railings. The cuts aren't as neat as I wanted but are close enough and it just proves how important measuring and planning is.

Completed the bridges for my Canal project. Using Plasticard, foam core, and "Self Adheisve dry wall tape" (SAWT). I really like the way they came out, I just need to add some extra details on the bridges and actual canal so almost done.

Combat Patrol tournament

So this past weekend I attended the combat patrol tournament. I unfortunately kinda forgot to take photos *woops* but luckily Neal from lasercutcard and Darryn the master of the "Tie fighter game" managed to get some. My List did well with the losses being due to missed chances and some unlucky rolls.

I ended up coming 3rd which I am quite happy with.

 Finally almost at the end. I just went through to finish off some of the smaller detail, I'm going to for now just finish off the most noticeable little things on the model
I added the Ceramite white  plumes to their helmets and Red sashes.

Awesome Terrain from the internet

Some really cool terrain I have come across on my search of the internet. Some of it is custom some bought but it is all awesome.  I will post more of the terrain I find with links to where I found it, as I find it.

I've also made a Pinterest board with  some of the things I've found, so you can always watch that space.

Seeing what other people have made is a great way I've found to help get ideas and techniques for my own terrain.

I've been a bit quiet lately as I was over seas but here is what I've done up till now. I'm keen to get this completely table top ready soon.
