Just a shout out to skulkers-surprise. I had shown these when I had first made them but since Malduran was wanting to correct the base size on his Wraith Guard on his latest painting challenge.
So I thought I'd share what I did for my guard, Its not much but I think it does look effective. Small base stuck onto a 40mm base and covered in gravel/Sand. The new models are taller then the older ones so the added height of the base brings them closer to equal.

That's a very clever way of integrating a new base size with an old model. I generally use resin bases for my models, so I'm used to them being taller then the standard base heights. I think it makes things look a bit more epic!
