So I did some more work on the bridges this weekend. Adding some finishing touches to the edges of the railings. The cuts aren't as neat as I wanted but are close enough and it just proves how important measuring and planning is.

Update to Painted army
What you get if you google "painting Eldar artwork" |
So I was looking through the old post on the blog to get ideas for what to write about and I came across my Painted models post and just wanted to give you guys a catch up on what I had gotten done since then. I surprised myself I had forgotten I had even made the list.
So in 3 months I have done the following

Quick Self adhesive drywall tape test
The pic below is what I was trying to go for (with regards to the meshed flooring). This is my attempt to get the same effect. As Daniel Grundy said in a comment before.

Cannal terrain progress pipes/sewer entrance
Using a Pill container to make a sewer entrance.I cut the lid and bottom of the container off and smoothed off any edges. I then used the Self adhesive dry wall tape to add the bars. I put drops of super glue to secure the mesh down.
Canal Terrain progress bridges
Completed the bridges for my Canal project. Using Plasticard, foam core, and "Self Adheisve dry wall tape" (SAWT). I really like the way they came out, I just need to add some extra details on the bridges and actual canal so almost done.
Combat Patrol tournament
So this past weekend I attended the combat patrol tournament. I unfortunately kinda forgot to take photos *woops* but luckily Neal from lasercutcard and Darryn the master of the "Tie fighter game" managed to get some. My List did well with the losses being due to missed chances and some unlucky rolls.
I ended up coming 3rd which I am quite happy with.

Terrain supplies
With my mind set on trying to make more terrain I popped into the local hard ware store and picked up 2 metal rulers like the ones below. They are mostly to help with cutting the foam-core as the blade just cuts into the plastic rulers. They also had inches on one side and cm on the other so that is also really cool.
I picked them up for R20 ($1.8) and R18 ($1.66) respectively.

Awesome Terrain from the internet
From the "How to lose at 40k" blog |
I've also made a Pinterest board with some of the things I've found, so you can always watch that space.
Seeing what other people have made is a great way I've found to help get ideas and techniques for my own terrain.

Kill Team rules, What do you think???
Just a short one. Been playing a lot of the newish GW killteam rules and its been pretty good fun.
what experiences have you guys had with it. The fact that the game is so quick to set up and play makes it a good choice for mid week games and since the armies are small it makes it a good place to start if teaching people 40k or for new comers to the hobby.
cheers for now
40k this week
This past week I decided to try get my support/heavy support platforms completed and so here are some photos of them.
